About Discovery Green Park
Discovery Green, Houston's new downtown park, is being developed on an 11.78-acre site between the George R. Brown Convention Center and the heart of downtown Houston. The park is the culmination of the dreams of many Houstonians for a major urban park that is being realized as a result of the leadership of Mayor White and some of Houston's most committed and generous citizens. The park is ideally positioned to be the heart of Houston's most desirable urban, mixed-use residential district.

Parking
3452 Several parking options are available for park visitors, including metered, garage and surface lots.
Metered Parking
Visitors may use metered parking spaces along the park's perimeter of Walker, Lamar, McKinney and La Branch or other nearby streets. Parking meter stations accept credit cards and cash. There are one or two stations per block. Metered parking is in effect Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Rates vary.
Garage Parking
Several nearby parking garages offer easy access to Discovery Green. For daily and event pricing, please call ahead.
Convention District Garage.
With space for more than 650 cars, the Convention District Garage is operated by the City of Houston and can accommodate both park and convention center visitors. Contact the Convention Center District for rate information.

Convenient parking is available in the 1600-space Hilton Americas-Houston parking garage.

Houston Center, located just west of the George R. Brown Convention Center, has multiple parking garages available for park and convention center parking.
