Allergy Clinic Kid Zone
The Allergy Clinic was founded in 1956 by Joseph I. Engler, M.D., a native Texan, trained in allergy at the National Institutes of Health and at Harvard's Mass General Hospital. In the 1990's he was joined by his son,
Dr. David B. Engler (1991), and by Dr. Alnoor A. Malick (1996), both trained in allergy at the University of
Texas Medical Branch, and both Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. In 2005,
Dr. Carlos J. Vital joined The Allergy Clinic. Dr. Vital, a native of New Orleans, trained in allergy at Louisiana
State University, and also is Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Joseph
Engler retired in 2007, but continues to visit our Fannin location regularly, greeting old and new patients alike.
You don't have to wait. The Allergy Clinic is dedicated to seeing you the same day you call for an appointment
(or at least the next day), at any of our three convenient locations, each with free parking. Our courteous staff
will assist you with your insurance. We participate in most managed care plans. |

Get Moving Houston Zone
Named after our Mayor’s campaign to elevate the level of fitness and wellness in Houston, the Get Moving Houston Zone is for the beginner and advanced wellness guru. Here you’ll find nutritional supplements, exercise equipment, workout gear and more to get you moving. Area race directors also are encouraged to set up a booth to recruit walkers or runners for upcoming events. Let’s get moving Houston!

Real Men Cook is presented by Real Men Cook Charities, a 501(c)(3)
organization based in Chicago, which is on a national crusade to positively
change the way the world views men in relationship to their families and the
community and to transform how Father’s Day is celebrated. Now in its 18th
year, Real Men Cook has become a tradition as the largest and
longest-running national Father’s Day celebration of its kind. Houston is
one of 11 cities on the national Real Men Cook tour.
We invite the real men of Houston (who can cook!) to register for Houston’s
Real Men Cook Competition! Everyday fathers and men in our community our
invited to throw down their favorite food items and be judged by our panel
of celebrity judges. Items will be judged on taste, presentation and
originality.

Duncan Cancer Center brings together all of the cancer-related activities from across these institutions under one umbrella, fast-tracking our efforts to prevent and ultimately cure cancer in all its forms. The second annual HJMHF includes a showcase the Ultimate Christian Talent Search hosted by Gospel Truth Magazine announced that Virtual Valor Entertainment today announced the launch of its new artist and song search. Now in its 2nd year, the Ultimate Talent Search & Seminars will offer a single song publishing agreement for the grand-prize winning song. The Juneteenth 35th Annual Freedom Parade
The Juneteenth 35th Annual Freedom Parade will take place on Saturday, June 21 2008, from 10:00 a.m. - Noon in downtown Houston. The parade will kick-off the weekend activities and is the longest running parade featuring over 3,000 entries of colorful Floats, Western Wagons, Trail Riders and Marching Bands representing over 15 different countries. Hosted by the National Emancipation Association, Inc.
